    Drybar Human Resources is looking for a Safety & Claims Administrator to join our ranks of fun loving, team member obsessed, roll-up-your-sleeves-and-get-to-business kind of Human Resources department! Our dream Safety & Claims Administrator knows you can't have FUN without being SAFE! The Safety & Claims Coordinator provides leadership to drive safety initiatives in our offices and shops and works to ensure that providing a safe work place is always our number one priority. The Safety & Claims Administrator can see an incident happen before it does and takes swift action to ensure we prevent losses whenever possible. When an incident does occur, the Safety & Claims Administrator responds quickly and appropriately to the situation, handling it with care. The Safety & Claims Administrator also implements safety training, policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations.

    What We're All About:




    • Manage team member work-related injury claims from inception (reporting) to closure (team member return to work). Report time lost, modified duty, medical/work status, and any litigation issues. Communicate with injured workers in a timely and empathetic manner. Ensures injured workers receive the information and medical care necessary.
    • Monitor all time lost and restricted duty claims on a regular basis to ensure all possible efforts are being made to return team member to regular work status or to initiate return to work with any work restrictions required. Ensures that managers are aware of an injured worker’s work-related restrictions/accommodations and makes certain that they are complying at the worksite with all instructions provided. 
    • Determines actual time missed from work due to work related injuries and illnesses and provides accurate information to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) record keeping requirements. Ensures Drybar is in compliance with OSHA regulations at all work locations. 
    • Distribute mandatory State Workers’ Compensation postings to new locations and, if applicable, new hire kits. 
    • Manage general liability claims from inception (reporting) to closure. May coordinate with Director of Client Relations or District Managers to address the needs of potentially injured clients.
    • May assist with property and other insurance claims management as needed.
    • Primary contact for all claims adjusters and manages relationships and communications promptly. When requested by adjusters, provides information needed such as wage information, job descriptions, claim-related details and other claim evidence.
    • Works in partnership with broker contacts who support claims management and loss prevention activities.
    • Coordinates, attends, and participates in claims review meetings on a quarterly basis.
    • Tracks and documents accidents and incidents to understand causes and recommend changes to prevent future accidents. 
    • Provides statistical reporting on loss/cause analysis on a monthly basis. Formulates practical recommendations and solutions to address trends. 
    • May perform periodic inspections and audits of facilities, equipment and processes recommending corrections or additional precautions to ensure compliance to established regulations. 
    • Provides feedback and support for supervisors/managers; troubleshoots as necessary. 
    • Implements proactive initiatives in the areas of loss control and safety training. Develops, distributes and maintains policies and procedures that help prevent injuries to team members, clients and property loss, and training to minimize work-related injuries. 
    • Maintain and update IIPP, Ergonomic and other safety programs. 
    • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local workers’ compensation and safety laws and regulations. 
    • Takes initiative to remain current with trends, laws, etc. in the field of workers’ compensation, loss prevention and safety. Makes sure to pass along relevant information to appropriate individuals in the Company. 
    • Coordinates, develops content and leads quarterly safety committee meeting in the Support Center. Performs monthly safety inspections and takes responsibility to abate hazards in the Support Center.
    • Coordinates, develops content and distributes quarterly safety packets for retail shop safety meetings. Packets should include materials such as shop safety inspection checklists, safety topics and any relevant communications and training materials. Manages the process with field operations to insure that quarterly safety committee meetings are held at each shop. 
    • Other related job duties as assigned.


    • Associate’s or Bachelor’s level degree, human resources or risk management/safety certification a plus.
    • 3+ of experience in safety, loss prevention and claims management.
    • Working knowledge of OSHA laws, reporting, and procedures; and other employment-related laws that may intersect with daily activities.
    • Experience in multi-unit/multi-state retail operations and consumer products organizations with a large workforce of over 1,000 team members a plus.
    • Must be able to enter and maintain data with accuracy and no errors. Must be able to self-monitor, audit and verify own work product for accurate completion.
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize job assignments, inquiries and ongoing projects ensuring all work assignments are completed in a timely fashion. Must be a motivated, self-starter who is able to work independently and has a high level of productivity.
    • Must be highly organized in own and department’s work space. Takes initiative to make organizational improvements where necessary. 
    • Must have the highest level of integrity and operate with the utmost confidentiality. Must demonstrate good judgment when engaging with others, when making day-to-day decisions and when making recommendations to supervisor. Advises supervisor of issues, concerns and decisions needing to be made in an appropriate manner. 
    • Excellent organizational skills along with the ability to oversee complex claims processes, managing multiple parties and deadlines.
    • Must have intermediate level abilities in Microsoft Office computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Must have the ability to operate with a command of the human resources database system, risk management online and claims reporting systems and Gmail operations.
    • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with all levels in the organization. 
    • Ability to build trust and convey caring and empathy on behalf of the Company to injured workers, clients and claimants.
    • Ability to support the human resources team activities schedule.
