We are looking for a Logistics Manager to join our Supply Chain team!

     

    The Logistics Manager will serve as the transportation and logistics subject matter expert for Drybar’s global shipping network. In this role the Logistics Manager will be responsible for benchmark customer service, customs compliance, hazardous material compliance, information management, cost reductions and budget tracking. This position will require strong on-the-spot problem solving skills, a “can do” attitude, data analysis, a review of current processes and improvement suggestions, SOP development/documentation and a thorough understanding of global transportation requirements in support of a large, complex distribution network in partnership with a fast-paced global supply chain.

    Responsibilities

    • Subject matter expert on all things related to Drybar transportation
    • Develop a thorough understanding of our warehouse operations, order fulfillment & shipping processes and overall supply chain network
    • Primary Point of Contact for all shipping and logistics partners
    • Management of all global logistics/transportation processes
    • Obtain up to date rates from freight carriers and perform negotiations
    • Spot quote rates for “one-off” shipments
    • Review of current transportation costs and development of an optimization plan
    • Review and decide on HS code from products shipped internationally
    • Work as liaison between carriers, customs brokers, suppliers, etc. for import/export flows
    • Work with supply planning team and suppliers for efficient movement of products
    • Customs document processing and compliance
    • Understanding of inbound total landed cost, such as incoterm validation Ex work vs. DDP, including freight, customs brokerage, and customs duties cost analysis
    • Collaborate with other internal stakeholders to provide guidelines for transport budget preparation
    • Hazardous material processing and compliance
    • Reverse logistics support
    • Transportation Performance Scorecard reporting
    • Logistics spend reporting
    • Customer service issue resolution
    • Support of customer chargeback investigation and resolution for shipping/delivery service failures
    • Support quality assurance processes in regards to warehouse and transportation
    • Responsible for transportation compliance with all International, Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies and procedures for Regulatory, Health, Safety and Environmental
    • Other duties as assigned 
    • Supervisory Responsibility: Management of project support and/or full-time transportation coordinator

    Qualifications

    • Expert level knowledge in Excel (specifically in pivot tables, vlookups & charts/graphs)
    • ERP system experience (NetSuite preferred)
    • Demonstrable project management experience
    • Understanding of all transportation modes (i.e. freight, rail, air, sea)
    • BA/BS in finance/economics/international business/supply chain management or applicable industry experience
    • 7+ year's of industry experience specifically related to transportation management.
    • Experience with a 3PL at a CPG company is a plus.
