S/He needs to have a desire to be a part of our young organization, a team player who works cross-functionally (even with mathematically challenged departments) not because they have to, but because the want to. We're not afraid of random shouts of "Show me the money!" or fist pumps of excitement over a balanced end of month P&L. In fact, we'll be right there with you!

    • Execute according to monthly accounting close calendar and monitor against milestone dates to ensure timely, high-quality work product. 
    • Assist Accounting management with documenting accounting procedures and SOX-compliant internal controls for accounting and reporting cycles within this position’s scope of responsibility.
    • Reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts.
    • Participate in month-end close process, prepare monthly journal entries.
    • Reconcile bank statements. 
    • File property tax returns 
    • Assist with daily cash matching and banking
    • Assist with daily retail sales, respond to credit cards charge backs
    • Prepare monthly deferred revenue schedules (gift cards & membership)
    • Maintain lease schedules to record straight-line rent and T.I. allowances for retail locations. In addition, maintain % rent calculations and Landlord sales reporting.
    • Other duties and projects as assigned.


    • Strong capabilities in Microsoft Office computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
    • In-depth command of accounting software and reporting systems; experience in mid-size ERP systems.
    • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with accounting and non-accounting professionals.
    • Desire to drive process improvement.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance.
    • Strong capabilities in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
    • Experience in multi-unit retail, restaurant or similar organizations a plus.
    • Experience with NetSuite a plus.
