In fact, our tagline says it best: No cuts. No color. Just blowouts. What started with one shop in Brentwood, CA has grown to nearly 90 locations across 20 markets, with more to come. We are actively seeking a Franchise Operations Manager to help support our growing group of Franchise Partners! 

 

The Franchise Operations Manager will support the shop openings of new and existing franchise markets, positively drive and influence our Franchise Partners’ KPIs that are used in the balance scorecard, ensure quality and compliance with our styling practices and protocol, increase sales and profitability for our franchise partners. The Franchise Operations Manager will also be responsible for ensuring our franchise partners comply with all marketing, operations, and styling standards and rules.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the franchise store opening process, ensuring all internal departments and the franchise team are on track with their tasks:
    • Support Development team and franchise partner in hiring their Shop Educator, scheduling their 2 week training. 
    • Assist in additional preconstruction activities. 
    • Conducts pre-opening visit 5 days prior to opening and assist local team with the opening thru the initial weekend.
  • Franchise training program:
    • Manage two week training program with current Operating Partners for new Operating Partner.
    • Manage the training of new franchise partners.
  • New market franchise support for the first six months of opening:
    • Daily calls or multiple calls per week to address all questions that arise from new operator.
    • Schedule franchise mentor trip to have an existing franchise partner visit any new franchise partners within 3 months after opening of first shop.
  • Current franchise base support after six-month anniversary:
    • Conduct weekly touch base calls.
    • Annual market visit to conduct business plan review and audit the hair quality and operational standards.
    • Work as point person so ensure that all requests from franchise partner to support office are getting fully addressed.
  • Positively drive franchise partner’s KPIs that are used in the balance scorecard: client count, average ticket sale, labor hours, complaint percentage, RYB, and turnover. 
  • Drive the implementation of Drybar programs by motivating and supporting the franchisee team to develop and implement action plans that meet operational objectives.
  • Ensure franchisees adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements and Drybar brand standards.
  • Increase sales and profitability through franchise store development. Collect annual profit and loss statements and review profitability opportunities and goals with franchise partners.
  • Compile data for the Monthly Balance Scorecard and train franchise partners on improving their KPI’s on a monthly basis.
  • Update Franchise Resource Manual and ensure that exhibits and collateral are updated on a quarterly basis in GoogleDrive.
  • Annual Franchise/Manager meeting support.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of successful leadership experience in multi-unit retail operations
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s level college degree preferred
  • Leadership experience in the salon or beauty industry a plus
  • Ability to manage the overall operations of multiple shops independently
  • Knowledge of retail operations
  • Strong operational skills in a customer-service environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Influencing skills
  • Knowledge of business planning and financial performance measures
  • Ability to build relationships
  • Ability to analyze problems and provide solutions
