We are Drybar, a blow dry bar, and we set out to shake up the beauty industry. We believe in doing one thing and being the best at it. For us, that’s blowouts. In fact, our tagline says it best: No cuts. No color. Just blowouts. What started with one shop in Brentwood, CA has grown to over 80 locations across 20 markets, with more to come.

 

We are actively seeking a General Manager to oversee both our full liquor bar and our hair styling bar in the growing Las Vegas market. Our dream GM has experience in leading the charge for a large team in a fast-paced environment. We depend on our GM to ensure that our special brand of Drybar Magic is felt by all- team members and clients alike! This is a truly unique opportunity for an operations enthusiast who is also secretly (ok, maybe not-so-secretly) a beauty junkie.

Responsibilities

  • Drive this flagship shop to its potential by working internally and externally to maximize chair turn.
  • Manage, guide, and inspire all leadership and hourly employees for both styling bar and liquor bar
  • Represent and lead from Drybar’s values, our Heart & Soul. 
  • Invest time in your people. Identify and mentor the future leaders of our organization. 
  • Interview, onboard, and retain high quality candidates. 
  • Take initiative to attract and recruit stylists, front desk associates, and liquor bar staff locally. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local beauty schools, trade associations, and salon owners in your community.
  • Coach and give feedback as necessary for all team members, ensuring Drybar standards are being met at all times.
  • Build relationships with Drybar’s clientele, ensuring that our clients experience only the best every visit.
  • Maximize the shop's financial potential. 
  • Understand and optimize your shop's P&L.
  • Resolve employee relations and customer issues ensuring the company is protected against liability with a mindfulness of shop morale and culture. 
  • Execute operations, marketing, and human resources objectives in shop. 
  • Manage timekeeping and payroll reporting for your staff. 
  • Build and maintain employee schedules and manage labor costs.
  • Perform monthly inventory, minimize shrink, and maintain ordering levels for both styling bar and liquor bar. 
  • Partner with Drybar’s Events team to ensure that all parties, private events, and buyouts are executed flawlessly. 
  • Ensure that all bar equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection.
  • Ensure that all products are received in correct unit count and condition.
  • Conduct regular inventory of all wine and liquor consumables.
  • Conduct regular inventory of glassware, barware, and bar service equipment.
  • Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, and county municipal regulations that pertain to health, and safety of the bar, employees and guests.
  • Ensures nightly and/or weekly, opening and closing side duties are followed.
  • Ensures that proper liquor is ordered within approved product list
  • Ensures that all pars on bar are correct and maintained

Qualifications

  • 4-5 years of management experience.
  • Previous experience in managing a staff of 75-100 employees.
  • In depth knowledge of the Las Vegas Market and a strong local network 
  • Experience in a fast paced service environment
  • Consistently delivers remarkable customer service and has a genuine passion for quality
  • Advanced experience in recruiting, onboarding, and developing a team
  • Inventory management and scheduling experience
  • Proven track record in growing sales
  • Salon experience and/or cosmetology license preferred, but not required
